The InterForum Council

The Council provided the central platform for InterForum members to meet and decide the shape and future direction of InterForum activities and the wider UK e-agenda.

All InterForum members were Council members. They came from a variety of industries and environments and shared a commitment to the advancement of the digital economy. They included senior representatives from:

* companies responsible for the development and supply of information and communications technologies
* companies in the UK who are already meeting the business challenges and opportunities presented by the new technologies
* Government departments.

The UK revenues of the member companies (excluding Government Departments) exceeded £100 billion per year.

The InterForum Council met every six weeks in a 'closed door' setting and provided members with an opportunity to:

  • Move forward current InterForum activities
  • Share insight and knowledge
  • Network
  • Contribute to debate about legislative or regulatory issues of the day
  • Contribute to and approve submissions to Government on behalf of InterForum about issues affecting the British digital economy
  • Discuss industry issues of concern
  • Learn about Special Interest Groups  activities.
